Construction of Minimally-Supported-Frequencies Wavelets

چکیده
This is part of a program devoted to the study of wavelets by making use of their Fourier transforms. We shall rst give a constructive characterization of all minimally-supported-frequencies(m.s.f.) wavelets. Then we use this to construct new m.s.f. wavelets, including ones that are not band-limited. We shall also provide a simple necessary and suucient condition for an m.s.f. wavelet to be associated with a multiresolution analysis. Finally, we shall apply this result to the wavelets we constructed.

Construction of a class of trivariate nonseparable compactly supported wavelets with special dilation matrix
We present a method for the construction of compactlysupported $left (begin{array}{lll}1 & 0 & -1\1 & 1 & 0 \1 & 0 & 1\end{array}right )$-wavelets under a mild condition. Wavelets inherit thesymmetry of the corresponding scaling function and satisfies thevanishing moment condition originating in the symbols of the scalingfunction. As an application, an example is provided.
متن کاملTheory and Algorithms for Non-Uniform Spline Wavelets
We investigate mutually orthogonal spline wavelet spaces on non-uniform partitions of a bounded interval, addressing the existence, uniqueness and construction of bases of minimally supported spline wavelets. The relevant algorithms for decomposition and reconstruction are considered as well as some stability-related questions. In addition, we briefly review the bivariate case for tensor produc...
متن کاملConstruction of compactly supported biorthogonal wavelets
This paper presents a construction of compactly supported biorthogonal spline wavelets in L2(IR ). In particular, a concrete method for the construction of bivariate compactly supported biorthogonal wavelets from box splines of increasing smoothness is provided. Several examples are given to illustrate the method. Key-Words:multivariate biorthogonal wavelets, multivariate wavelets, box splines,...
متن کاملSmoothing Minimally Supported Frequency (MSF) Wavelets : Part II
The main purpose of this paper is to give a procedure to “mollify” the low-pass filters of a large number of Minimally Supported Frequency (MSF) wavelets, so that the smoother functions obtained in this way are also low-pass filters for an MRA. Hence, we are able to approximate (in the L2-norm) MSF wavelets by wavelets with any desired degree of smoothness on the Fourier transform side. Althoug...
